These general terms and conditions apply to all orders and agreements placed via our webshop www.pieceofsun.nl. By placing an order, you agree to these terms and conditions. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice. The version valid at the time of your order applies.

3. Products and Availability

• We do our best to display product information, such as descriptions, prices, and images, as accurately as possible.
• If a product is out of stock, we will inform you as soon as possible and offer an alternative solution, such as a refund or a longer delivery time.
• Images on the website may differ slightly from the actual products due to, for example, screen color settings or product variations.
• We cannot guarantee that all products will be available at all times, but we will keep you informed of the status of your order.

4. Prices and payment

• All prices are in euros (€) and include VAT, unless stated otherwise.
• We accept payments via iDEAL.
• Payments must be made in full in advance before the order is processed and shipped.
• Piece of Sun reserves the right to change prices, but the price applicable at the time of your order will remain valid.
• Any additional costs, such as shipping costs, will be clearly indicated during the ordering process.

5. Shipping and Delivery

• We aim to ship orders within 7 days of receiving payment. The delivery date is indicative and may vary depending on the destination and the chosen carrier.
• Shipping is handled by reliable courier services such as PostNL, DPD, or DHL.
• Piece of Sun is not responsible for delays caused by the carrier or due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather conditions or public holidays.
• Shipping costs are calculated during the checkout process based on your location.

6. Right of withdrawal (returns & exchanges)

• You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receipt without giving any reason. After cancellation, you have another 14 days to return the product. The product must be returned in its original condition and packaging.
• Returns are at your own risk, and the costs for returning the item are your responsibility, unless it is our mistake. Before returning the product, you must first send an email to info@pieceofsun.com to register the return. You will then receive further instructions.
• Please note: Return costs must be paid by the consumer. We recommend using a trackable shipping method for the return package.
• Upon receipt of the return shipment, the purchase amount will be refunded within 14 days.

7. Warranty and complaints

• We offer a 6-month warranty on our products against manufacturing defects. This warranty is valid from the date of delivery.
• Complaints or product defects can be reported within the warranty period via info@pieceofsun.com. We aim to respond within 10 business days.
• The warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, wear and tear, or accidents.
• In the event of a defective product, Piece of Sun may choose to provide a replacement product, a repair, or a refund.

8. Liability

• Piece of Sun is not liable for damage resulting from improper use of our products.
• Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the product and only in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
• We are not responsible for indirect damages, such as loss of income or damage to other goods.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

• We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
• The collected data is used exclusively for processing your order, improving our services, and keeping you informed about new products or offers (if you have given your consent for this).

10. Amendments to the General Terms and Conditions

• Piece of Sun may amend these terms and conditions at any time. The most recent version of the terms and conditions is always available on our website and applies from the moment of publication.
• Customers who placed an order before the amendment of the terms and conditions are deemed to agree to the terms and conditions that were applicable at the time of the order.

11. Applicable law and disputes

• These terms and conditions are governed by Dutch law.
• Disputes arising from or in connection with these terms and conditions will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless otherwise agreed.
• If a provision of these terms and conditions is declared invalid, the remainder of the terms and conditions will remain in effect.
