We are Maureen and Mariëtte — friends, beach lovers and always up for a spontaneous idea!

On a sunny morning by the sea, with a cappuccino in our hands, we asked ourselves: how great would it be to create and sell a product that we ourselves fully support? Something that combines our love for the beach with convenience and quality.

And so Piece of Sun was born—our answer to the perfect beach day. Because our biggest pet peeve? A towel that collects more sand than sun rays. That’s why we designed beach towels made from high-quality waffle microfiber, which allow you to shake off sand in one go. And even better: they’re made from 85% recycled plastic. So you can not only enjoy a clean beach towel, you’re also contributing to a cleaner world.

Because a perfect beach day isn't complete without the right accessories, we also have beach bags and beach pockets with unique prints. Just like our towels, they are practical, durable and designed to make your day at the beach even more relaxing.
